Dr. Widalys Santiago, M.D. was born and raised in Puerto Rico. A graduate of the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez Campus, Dr. Santiago received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology in 2000. She completed medical school at the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara (UAG) in 2006 and her internship at Manatí Medical Center under the direction of Dr. Alejandro Otero López in Manatí, Puerto Rico. Following her internship, Dr. Santiago worked as a General Practitioner in Barceloneta, Puerto Rico before moving to the U.S. She joins Island Doctors from Oklahoma where she worked for the Department of Veterans Affairs. She enjoys spending time with her family and traveling when time permits. Dr. Santiago is currently seeing patients at Island Doctors’ Pace office.
