Charles E. Lerner, M.D., FACP, is board-certified in Internal Medicine and has a rich background in healthcare. A native of Destin, Florida, Dr. Lerner completed his medical education at St. Christopher’s College of Medicine in Luton, England, where he earned his Medical Doctor degree with honors in 2005. Dr. Lerner also holds a Master of Science in Natural Health from Clayton College of Natural Health, Birmingham, Alabama, and an associate degree in Applied Health Sciences from Cuyahoga Community College, Cleveland, Ohio.

Throughout his career, Dr. Lerner has held various medical positions, including serving as a Medical Doctor at HCA in Niceville, Florida, and Village Medical, where he also held leadership roles such as Chairman of the Clinician Executive Committee and the Center of Care Committee. Dr. Lerner has demonstrated his dedication to medical education and teaching by serving as a faculty member and instructor of Medicine at Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon, Georgia; an Affiliate Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of South Florida College of Medicine in Tampa, Florida, as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at University of Central Florida College of Medicine, and as Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Florida State University College of Medicine.

Dr. Lerner has been actively engaged in extracurricular activities and has received numerous accolades such as Top Doctor in Celebration, Florida (2019), and America's Top Physicians (2009, 2010, 2012, and 2014). He has served in the U.S. military for 20 years and is a trained Flight Surgeon. Dr. Lerner is committed to excellence in medicine and will see patients at our office in Panama City.
