Radu Segal, M.D.

Dr. Radu Segal, MD, MPH, is an accomplished family medicine physician and healthcare leader based in Gainesville, Florida. A graduate of the University of Florida with Honors in Chemistry, Dr. Segal went on to earn dual degrees in Medicine and Public Health from St. George’s University. His clinical training included rotations at prestigious medical centers such as Maimonides and Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Dr. Segal completed his Family Medicine Residency at the University of Wyoming in Cheyenne, where he later served on faculty and helped develop a new hospitalist program in Missouri. Returning to Wyoming, he practiced full-scope family medicine—including surgery, obstetrics, and inpatient care—with Babson and Associates, PA, before specializing in neurosurgical care with Wyoming Spine and Neurosurgery Associates, LLC.

In 2011, Dr. Segal founded North Cheyenne Family Medicine, LLC, a thriving private practice that grew to serve over 5,000 patients and pioneered a comprehensive diabetes management program. After successfully building one of Cheyenne's leading practices, he returned to his hometown of Gainesville, Florida.

Since joining Island Doctors in 2017, Dr. Segal has been instrumental in expanding services across Florida. Currently, Dr. Segal serves as the Medical Director for Island Doctors and its affiliate operations statewide, overseeing clinical excellence and patient care initiatives.

Dr. Segal remains dedicated to advancing primary care delivery, chronic disease management, and community health across Florida.
