David Williams began his interest in medicine in 1980. Attending local college, he became an EMT in 1980. He then returned back to school to complete an Associates Degree program as a Paramedic. He worked in several hospitals in the Jacksonville area. In 1988, he returned to school became a Registered Nurse, specializing in Emergency Department and Surgical/cardiovascular ICU. In 1996, he was accepted to train at the University of North Dakota school of Medicine for Physician Assistants. After graduating in 1998, he began practicing in Emergency Medicine and Family Practice.
