Tonya Freeman, APRN

Tonya B. Freeman, APRN is a highly accomplished and experienced Nurse Practitioner with over 36 years in the healthcare field. She has an extensive background in critical care, primary care, nephrology, emergency medicine, and geriatrics. As the founder and manager of **Freeman Medical Group**, she has overseen operations, staffing, and patient care for numerous clients, demonstrating strong leadership and management expertise.

Tonya has held key roles in various healthcare settings, including Sacred Heart Hospital, where she managed over 100 staff members in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) and Advanced Critical Care Unit (ACCU). She has also served as a Nurse Practitioner in urgent care, hospital, and private practice settings, providing high-quality patient care and developing best practices for clinical improvement.

In addition to her clinical work, Tonya has been a dedicated educator, serving as an Assistant Professor of Nursing at the University of West Florida, where she developed coursework and mentored students. Her leadership extends to healthcare policy development, quality improvement initiatives, and mentoring future medical professionals.
