Mohammed Basha, M.D. is a highly experienced and board-certified internal medicine physician with a rich clinical practice and medical education background. He serves as an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine at the University of Central Florida (UCF) College of Medicine and served as faculty for the UCF COM/HCA GME Internal Medicine Residency Program in Gainesville, Florida.

Dr. Basha's medical journey began at Guntur Medical College in India, where he completed his medical education in 1980. He later pursued a residency in Internal Medicine at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center in New York, NY, from 1989 to 1992. Following his residency, Dr. Basha specialized further by completing a Fellowship in Endocrinology and Metabolism at the University of Florida in Gainesville from 1997 to 1999.

Throughout his career, Dr. Basha has held various positions as a staff physician across multiple states, including Florida, Tennessee, and Illinois. His extensive experience includes serving American veterans at the VA Medical Clinics in Ocala, FL, and Springfield, IL, where he was recognized for his exceptional service with awards such as the PACT Recognition Award.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Basha has a strong commitment to medical education. He has taught medical students, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners, emphasizing the importance of patient education and preventive medicine. He also served as an Instructor in Anatomy at Siddhartha Medical College in Vijayawada, India, from 1981 to 1984.

Dr. Basha will be seeing patients at our Gainesville offices in Alachua County. He is also board-eligible in Endocrinology and Metabolism and is BLS-certified. His dedication to patient care and education makes him a respected member of the medical community. Dr. Basha loves to read, listen to music, and travel in his spare time.
