Zulma López Rivera, MD

Dr. Zulma López Rivera is a bilingual primary care physician with 7+ years of clinical experience across hospital and outpatient settings. She provides comprehensive adult care with a focus on preventive medicine, chronic disease management (diabetes, hypertension, thyroid disease, COPD/asthma), and women’s health.

A graduate of San Juan Bautista School of Medicine (Cum Laude), Dr. López Rivera has served as a lead physician and medical director, and has additional training in obesity medicine and diabetes care. Her background includes emergency department experience at a major regional hospital and participation in national continuing-education programs. She is a member of the American Diabetes Association and is trained in point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS).

Fluent in English and Spanish, she is known for clear communication, thoughtful care plans, and a team-based approach to improving long-term health.
