Dr. Samer Elhakim is an experienced family medicine physician with 25+ years of clinical practice caring for patients of all ages. His background spans primary care, walk-in and urgent care, inpatient rounds, and ICU co-management, with a strong focus on prevention, chronic disease management, and same-day acute concerns.
He completed his Family Medicine residency at the State University of New York (PGY I–III) after an internship at SUNY, and earned his medical degree from Alexandria University. Earlier in his career, he served as an attending physician and clinical instructor at University Hospital and Medical Centers in Alexandria.
Dr. Elhakim has practiced across California and Florida, including leadership roles as Director of Family Practice in Miami and many years providing comprehensive urgent and primary care in outpatient clinics and hospital settings. He is known for a calm bedside manner, clear communication, and practical, evidence-based care.
He is now seeing patients at our Palencia office and welcomes new patients.
