Dr. Wu Chavez began her medical education at the University of Puerto Rico Mayaguez Campus and earned her her Bachelor’s degree in Biology in 2000. Then, she moved on to the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara where she received her MD in 2004. From July of 2004 to June of 2006, she worked at the Hospital Metropolitano de San German and earned Intern of the Year in 2005. In 2008, she received her certification in forensic expert work at the Instituto de Servicios Educativos y Psicologicos de Puerto Rico. Then in, 2009 she received additional training focusing on wound and skin care at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Dr. Wu Chavez also holds multiple certifications including passing the Professional Examination of Mexico in 2006, the Puerto Rico Medical Board of Examiners Medical License in 2005, the Drug Enforcement Administration Certification in 2005, and the ASSMCA in 2005.

Dr. Wu Chavez’s professional experience includes: Rincon Medical Center’s Emergency Department in Rincon, Puerto Rico; independent professional service provider for MP Home Care in San Juan, Puerto Rico; independent professional service provider for Tome & Ubinas Radio-Oncology Center in Hato Rey, Puerto Rico; assistant in medical-legal expert work and evaluator at Healing Medical Physical Therapy in Hato Rey, Puerto Rico; independent service provider and educator in adverse effects of smoking at Smoking Cessation Clinics BPPR also in Hato Rey, Puerto Rico; independent service provider at Medijob in Las Piedras, Puerto Rico; medical advisor and interim medical director at Salud Familiar en el Hogar in Hato Rey, Puerto Rico.
