Baked Cinnamon Apples

We don’t want to deprive you of dessert for your Thanksgiving feast, but of course we want to offer you a healthy alternative. How about some baked apples instead of traditional apple pie? You will still get all the fantastic flavors of cinnamon and apple but without the added sugar. We made this dish and can personally tell you that it’s delicious!

INGREDIENTS

5-6 medium apples, peeled and sliced

2 tbs. butter or coconut oil, melted

1 tsp. cinnamon

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Put the apples in a small to medium baking dish. Mix the melted butter or coconut oil and cinnamon together then dump it on the apples. Toss well to coat all the apples evenly with the cinnamon mixture.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven until the apples are soft, about 20-30 minutes. Stir once during the baking time. Enjoy!
